What careers would a someone with a degree in logic pursue?

And would you need to be a complete genius to get into college for a logic major?
There is a logic major, just not that common. It’s under the lines of philosophy.

  1. I’ve never heard of a logic major. How about math or statistics instead? No, you don’t need to be a genius for that. Just fairly smart.

  2. things like that don’t really have specific careers. as in, if you an elementary ed major, you would probably be a teacher. if logic is under philosophy like you said…nothing in particular. i would LOVE to be a philosophy major, but it just isn’t practical. if you can write, you can publish books on your thoughts or findings. if you like to teach, you can go teach philosophy. if you like public speaking, you can do that on your findings. there isn’t really a direct path. really, you can do anything and it would some how be applicable, but that doesn’t mean it’s practical.

and no, you don’t need to be a complete genius…but if you want to get all philosophical, what is a genius? what makes one person more intelligent than the next? philosophy isn’t about being “smart” in a book sort of sense. i think if you’re open minded, thoughtful, insightful, and you have the ability to analyze and look at things from an unbiased point in the world, you’d be a good candidate for it.
